Several factors for irritation or allergy

 

• Surfactants in cleansing products

 

• Contact allergens (allergens found in skin care products or clothing) watch out for allergens such as essential oils in cosmetics or colorants in clothing that can cause  additional contact eczema

 

• All irritants (fabric, detergent, etc.)

 

• Allergens in the air are often to blame: dust, animal dander, dust mites,…

 

• watch out for  carpets, rugs, curtains

  Certain foods cause allergies, but these are food allergies with a specific set of symptoms

  (vomiting, faintness, diarrhea) they do not cause AD but can worsen the condition
