Assessing severity
The SCORAD
• Of interest for clinical studies and also for the follow-up of daily practices
• Effectively identifies the various components of AD and the surface affected
• Allows for the subjective intensity to be ascertained, i.e. what the patient feels.
• However, when completed by the doctor, it doesn’t help patients become more
autonomous and does not give an idea of what occurs between 2 doctor visits.
This is why the PO Scorad was created: Patient oriented Scorad
